2017 TOUR ITINERARY

Thursday June 15th - Depart for England and the “World of Coronation Street”. Meet at Toronto Pearson International Airport and embark on
your flight to Manchester.

Friday, June 16th– Cocktail Reception and Dinner.We touch down in Manchester where our guide will meet us and whisk us to our city centre hotel where you will have time to settle in- rest or unpack- before we meet for a welcome reception and an early informal dinner in the hotel. (D)

Saturday, June 17th – Manchester City Sights
A day exploring the fabulous city of Manchester taking in the stunning historic and modern buildings and learning its history. See the Manchester Town Hall one of the finest municipal buildings in Britain and time to check out the Mega store at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium. Enjoy a trip on a narrow boat on one of the cities many canals during which a light
lunch is served before a mid-afternoon return to the hotel. In the evening it's time to have your cameras at the ready as we enjoy a typical pub meal with a surprise special guest! (B, L, D)

Sunday, June 18th – Blackpool – The Seaside
“Blackpool, here we come!” It's off to the coast today as we follow in the footsteps of many a Corrie couple. The Lancashire coastal resort, full of fresh air, fun and fish and chips is home from home for all Weatherfield residents. We'll include tickets for Madame Tussauds with its waxworks of legendary Corrie characters – you may even choose to have a pint in the licenced Rovers Return and then enjoy afternoon tea while watching
ballroom dancing in the magical Tower ballroom. There's free time to stroll the prom, walk the piers or visit the famous Pleasure Beach (B, T, A)

Monday, June 19th – Locations Tour
Today we learn about the World's longest running TV soap- Coronation Street as we visit several locations where filming has taken place down the years. We'll also call in at a garden centre where our Corrie expert Mark Llewellin will share behind -the scenes tales and answer your questions over tea and cake. In the evening go on a leisurely stroll to city centre restaurant Annie's for dinner – which is run by Corrie’s Fiz (B,T, D)

Tuesday, June 20th – York
A day exploring the history and scenery of the county of Yorkshire. We'll stop at the stunning Harewood House, which doubled as Buckingham Palace in the recent series Victoria. Enjoy free time in the historic city of York with its centuries old Minster (cathedral)- the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe- roam the winding cobbled streets, take a ride on the river, check out the quaint shops, the ancient city walls, the Viking
Centre or if you’re feeling brave you can enter the York Dungeons, (B, A)

Wednesday , June 21st – Salford Quays, Studios
Another Corrie filled day including some locations visits and then the highlight of the week - an exclusive Tour of the Corrie set itself. You will be true VIP's today! Then you’ll need a rest before we don our glad rags and head to the nearby Midland Hotel- Manchester's oldest – for a gala dinner with surprise VIP guest. (B, A, D)

Thursday, June 22nd – Stratford Upon Avon
We leave Manchester for the west of England calling at Shakespeare's birthplace, the lovely Stratford Upon Avon nestled upon the River Avon. A market town with more than 800 years of history, containing many buildings that survive today and would have been familiar to Shakespeare. Visit his mother's home, the delightfully restored Ann Hathaway's cottage and gardens before checking into our second hotel where we will
spend the next 2 nights. (B, A,)

Friday, June 23rd – Cotswolds
Welcome to the Cotswolds, a very special, very wonderful place. The Cotswolds covers a huge area – almost 800 square miles – and runs through five counties. A day exploring this beautiful area with its unspoiled ‘chocolate box' villages, thatched cottages, rolling hills and taste of Old England. We'll enjoy free time at the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' the popular Bourton on the water. This evening gather with group for our farewell dinner. (B, D)

Saturday, June 24th – Cotswolds - London - Canada
All good things must come to an end so it’s farewell as we transfer to the airport for our return flight. (B)
