Thursday Nov 9 -  Depart for England and the “World of Coronation Street”.

Meet at Toronto Pearson International Airport and embark on your flight to Manchester.


Or Join group in Manchester Nov 10 on land only option


Friday, Nov 10 – Cocktail Reception and Dinner.

We touch down in Manchester where our guide will meet us and whisk us to our city centre hotel where you will have time to settle in- rest or unpack- before we meet for a welcome reception and an early informal dinner in the hotel. (D)


Saturday Nov 11 – Manchester City Sights

Your guide will introduce you to the fabulous city of Manchester taking in the stunning historic and modern buildings and learning its history. See the Manchester Town Hall one of the finest municipal buildings in Britain,  a photo stop  at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium and free time in Manchester’s largest indoor mall – the Trafford Centre. In the evening, it's time to have your cameras at the ready for a special evening at a convenient traditional pub for a buffet meal and

a special surprise guest! (B, D)


Sunday, Nov 12 – Chester

The city of Chester was founded by the Romans and still has its historic city walls and amphitheatre but it's also known for the stunning cathedral and the quality of its shops which are laid out in traditional 'black and white' buildings.  Today we'll enjoy a Fish and Chip lunch, a  tour and free time to explore at your own pace.  (B, L)


Monday, Nov 13 – Locations Tour

The Coronation Street cast often film out and about around Manchester and today we'll visit some of those classic locations before heading to a family owned garden centre where you'll take

tea and cake whilst Corrie expert Mark Llewellin shares some of the show's history with you.  There'll also be time to take in the centre's beautiful Christmas displays and perhaps to take home some classic British Christmas decorations for the tree! In the evening go on a leisurely stroll to city centre restaurant Annie's for dinner – which is run by Corrie’s Fiz.  (B, T, D)


Tuesday, Nov 14 – Salford Tony Warren Exhibit

We're off to the neighbouring city of Salford where we'll visit a special exhibition at the Art Gallery and Museum honouring one of the city's most famous sons - Coronation Street creator Tony Warren.  Then it's back to the hotel for a free afternoon giving you time to explore Manchester's famous Christmas street markets with their international stalls offering hot gluwein, sizzling European sausages or traditional English hot chestnuts plus lots of unique shopping and street entertainment. Wednesday, Nov 15 – Salford Quays, Studios

Today we visit the location of the famous Weatherfield park, the Red Rec and the docklands area at Salford Quays.  Then it's on to ITV Studios for your unique chance to walk down the cobbles of the world's most famous street and see the studio filming locations that are so familiar to viewers around the globe.   Then you’ll need a rest or maybe start your packing before we don our glad rags as we bid farewell to Manchester with  a gala dinner and special  VIP guest!

Thursday, Nov 16 – Manchester-Edinburgh

This morning we travel to bonnie Scotland.  Enjoy a tour of the Palace of Holyrood house, the home of Scottish royalty.  Spend some free time sightseeing and shopping on your own before joining your group for a Scottish welcome drink and dinner. (B, A, D)


Friday Nov 17 – Edinburgh Castle

Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel and embark on a sightseeing tour of Edinburgh. Compare and contrast the wide streets and elegant mansions of the Georgian “New Town” with the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile, the oldest part of the city. See Princes Street, the main shopping thoroughfare that separates the two areas. Enjoy a guided tour of the imposing Edinburgh Castle, perched high above the city on volcanic rock. You’ll have time to relax or continue exploring the city on your own, trying some more of the local cuisine. (B, A)


Saturday Nov 18 – Royal Yacht Britannia

Visit Her Majesty’s Royal Yacht Britannia is the former Royal Yacht  of the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, in service from 1954 until 1997 when the yacht travelled more than a million nautical miles around the globe. This afternoon free time to explore the city or  the many shops for that perfect Christmas gift.  (B, A)


Sunday Nov 19 – St Andrews

After breakfast motor a short distance to St. Andrews, the “home of golf.” Visit the St. Andrews Brewing Company, which only brews a few batches of beer at a single time to better control the flavor and to create a more authentic taste. Enjoy a light lunch and tasting at the brewery. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for farewell dinner at a traditional Scottish restaurant featuring local produce and fine cuisine. (B, D)


Monday Nov 20 – Glasgow-Toronto

Land only option concludes after breakfast this morning.


All good things must come to an end as we say farewell to Scotland with an early start this morning to travel to Glasgow for return flight to Canada (B)
